Measures Taken in Extreme Difficulties

It is the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea which is more devoted to children at times of difficulties and which makes persevering advance towards the future of communism by dint of such love.

This can be seen from the fact that policies for children were taken uninterruptedly on this land last year when the country experienced the worst ever disaster.

2022 was a year of unprecedented trials for the country as hostile forces went to extremes in their moves to stifle it, an unexpected emergency of the influx of COVID-19 occurred and it suffered heavy damage by severe drought and downpour.

Nevertheless, it continued to show love for the rising generations.

A legal guarantee was provided to create the best conditions for the upbringing of children, the material and technical foundations for producing and supplying dairy products were further consolidated and nutritious foods like dairy products were supplied to children regularly.

Orphans were supplied with early apricots, chewing gums and frozen fishes as well as sweet cherries gathered in the garden of the office building of the Party Central Committee.

New school uniforms, shoes, satchels and other school things were supplied to all new students across the country who greeted the new school year, and new school things were supplied to the students at branch schools on islands, those who moved up to the second-year of primary schools, and new students of junior and senior middle schools throughout the country in the run-up to the Day of the Shining Star (February 16, birthday of Chairman Kim Jong Il).

Orphans throughout the country were supplied with quilted clothes, winter sportswear and winter shoes on the occasion of the anniversary of the founding of the Workers’ Party of Korea, and students in a remote mountain village were provided by the state with the school ship Mother taking them to and from school.

The happy and merry laughter of children resounded from every corner of the country last year thanks to the noble outlook on the rising generations and painstaking efforts of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who regards it as his lifelong duty and mission to make them the happiest in the world.

And thanks to his love for them, the new history of regular and gratuitous supply of nutritious foods like dairy products was opened up and is being carried on even in the worst circumstances.

New school uniforms and things are also permeated with his noble love for the rising generations and future.

At the Fourth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Party Central Committee held in December Juche 110 (2021), Kim Jong Un solemnly declared that the supply of uniforms to students is a policy of the Party and a consistent policy of the state to be done unconditionally and preferentially, not the one that is done under favourable conditions or that may be undone under unfavourable conditions, and took an important measure for implementing it.

And he examined samples of new uniforms to be made and provided to students across the country on New Year’s Day in 2022, gave valuable instructions on the production of uniforms on several occasions and solved all problems arising in making and supplying them.

Thanks to his noble outlook on the rising generations and exertions, policies for them could bring substantial benefits to children and people could keenly feel them in their life even at the time of hardships.
